One must avoid by every possible means to adhere to idiocy by association. Stupid people are worst than infectious disease and their company is lethal.

Scientists say that loud music isn’t so detrimental to your hearing as you may have been led to believe.

We all surely remember what our parents drilled into our brains about listening to loud music: Turn that sh*t down or you’ll go deaf! As it turns out, the prevalence of young people suffering from hearing loss thanks to loud music may be much lower than previously believed, according to a new report published in the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research. Although the latest findings go against recent research, the researchers warned that we should still be cautious of our exposure to loud noises over time.

And, oh yeah, I always knew that.

SONG OF THE DAY: My Face is on Fire (7” single) by Felt

Felt was one of my favorite groups growing up. However prosaic this may sound, their melodic sense and minimalistic approach always fascinated me. I mean, a band which takes its name from the way the word “felt” was pronounced by Tom Verlaine (Television) on the song “Venus” must live up to great expectations, don’t it?

The song presented here was released as a 7” in 1982 on the Cherry Red label and it was also part of the compilation Pillows & Prayers from the same record label that year. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
